Colleen Davis Out of Race

Colleen Davis was elected State Treasurer in 2018 and was reelected to a second term in 2022. In her first term Davis focused on creating a program, EARNS, for Delawareans without access to a retirement savings plan at work and expanded the state's 529 education savings plan.

Davis was raised in Sussex County. She graduated from Indian River High School and went on to receive a degree in molecular biology from Philadelphia University. She now resides in Bethany Beach and is a mother to three children.

Before becoming Delaware's treasurer, Davis was a physician assistant. She has served as the treasurer for the Delaware Physician Assistant Advocacy Group, been a financial consultant to large medical institutions and served on multiple financial management and employee benefits boards. Her congressional campaign focused on:

  • Financial security for families.
  • Combating climate change.
  • Abortion.
  • Gun reform.

Davis dropped out of the race for Delaware's seat in U.S. Congress on Feb. 28, citing health concerns.
