Here are Delmarva's top stories for the week of Oct. 9-13.

Monday: Case Review Cancelled

Randon Wilkerson, the man charged with murdering Delmar Cpl. Keith Heacook, did not appear in court Monday after his case review was canceled. Superior Court officials said Wilkerson's case review will not be rescheduled. Wilkerson's trial is still scheduled for Monday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m.

Tuesday: Principal Defends Himself in Court

Sussex Central principal Bradley Layfield, who remains on administrative leave, defended himself in Superior Court. Layfield is being sued by a former student, who claims he shared surveillance video of a school fight with other faculty members in which her breast was exposed uncensored. Layfield is asking that the case be dismissed. Harmon's attorney has not commented to CoastTV News.

Wednesday: Parking Proposal on Hold

The Millsboro parking committee decided to hold off on preliminary plans to make parking on the streets along single-family homes in the Plantation Lakes neighborhood illegal. The next parking committee meeting is on Nov. 8.

Thursday: Beach Patrol Station Project on Hold

The project for a new beach patrol and comfort station in Rehoboth Beach remains on hold after a code about the abandonment of Baltimore Ave. was brought to the cities attention. If the Board of Commissioners votes to move forward with the project, a public hearing will be announced at the next planning commission meeting on Nov. 2.

Friday: Taylor Swift Movie

On Thursday Oct. 12, Taylor Swift's first movie showings had a very dry turnout at local theaters. However, Friday was a different story...with sold out shows and extra shows added.
