What was expected to be an announcement of $10 million for bay beach restoration along the Delaware coast on Monday, May 13, has since increased to $31.9 million in federal funding.

Historically, while the federal government has supported similar initiatives for marine mammals, it has not established a permanent grant program for sea turtle rescue endeavors. 

 This funding injection is poised to propel the environmental assessment and preliminary design of the project, aiming to extend the runway's length to 6,000 feet.

One project targets pedestrian and vehicle access enhancements along U.S. Route 50 in Easton, while the other focuses on planning and designing a pedestrian and bicycle bridge over Route 113 in Berlin.

The Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) has announced significant adjustments to the Delaware Mortgage Relief Program in response to the impending depletion of federal funding. 

The three federal programs offered by the Delaware State Housing Authority are nearing the end of their allocated funding.
