There are several different markets to look forward to this summer season that offer an array of fresh produce and entertainment. 

The Delaware Department of Agriculture unveiled a new all-time high sales record for the state's farmers markets in 2023, reaching a total of $4.14 million across all 17 community-run markets. 

Business owners on Delmarva said they are having trouble hiring as the offseason approaches. 

More reusable containers to help donate food will be purchased with a $5,000 award received by the Historic Lewes Farmers Market. Reusable, safe containers and coolers are used to transport food for the Farm to Community pilot program. 

The event will take place on the second and fourth Saturdays in throughout the summer in Tidewater Park across from Pizza King.

The Market is specifically looking for vendors for the Wednesday market at Crooked Hammock Brewery. 

Delaware Agriculture Week began Monday and runs through Thursday at the Delaware State Fair Grounds. During Tuesday's Farmers' Market Managers Summit, the Delaware Department of Agriculture announced that last year's farmers markets hit an all-time high sales record of $3.7 million.

Redner's Fresh Market celebrated its grand opening Thursday morning.

Redner's Fresh Market in Lewes will host a public open house Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. It will open for business Thursday morning at 8 a.m.

According to the Delaware Association of Realtors, average prices of homes in February were up about twelve percent compared to last year. Active inventory went down about twelve percent.

In Maryland, the association of realtors says the average price of homes was up just under nine percent with active inventory down about 41 percent.
